Time Warner Cable participates in Stay in Stark program for students
The following article appeared in the Time Warner Cable company newsletter. The Stay in Stark program was supported by one of the 22nd Class project groups and we're gratified to see that it is ongoing.

TWC connects with Stark Students
Mark Shaffer, Director of Technical Support, along with Field Technicians John Mueller and Dan Norris, recently visited with 17 middle school students at Belden Elementary School in Canton. The TWC employees participated in "Stay in Stark", an educational program designed to expose local youngsters to various career opportunities that will keep them in Stark County. Mueller and Norris discussed the company's products and services and the various job opportunities offered at Time Warner Cable. They also explained their duties and responsibilities, how the company vehicles help them complete daily tasks, and how much effort goes into keeping TWC services up and running. The highlight of the visit involved interactive instruction that taught students how to strip cable and add end connectors using a compression tool. The day ended with a videotaped message from the students thanking Time Warner Cable for participating in the program.
