Testimonials
The Leadership Stark County Program exceeded all my expectations. When entering the program, I had some very basic goals in mind. What I did not realize at the beginning was the way I looked at the world was going to change forever. I never expected to meet such fascinating and committed people. I never expected to learn so much about Stark County and become so proud of the place I live. I never expected to meet the dedicated leaders in the community that make this community thrive. I never expected or imagined the number of challenges a community faces day in and day out. I never expected such a well organized and well constructed program. I never expected that this would be a life changing experience that included a noticeable change in my values and the way I see the world. As I went through the program I began to feel what trusteeship was all about. I began to think about the essence of democracy and the key element to its success. In its infancy, citizenship meant getting involved in the community. I realized that there are thousands of citizens in Stark County that participate in community activities. I realized that this really is what makes our nation strong and separates us from the rest of the world.
In conclusion, I am very grateful for the privilege of being part of such an esteemed group of graduates. I have a new outlook on life and a fresh appreciation for all the wonderful opportunities our community provides for my family and friends. I have been blessed with new friends and companions that will help shape the future of Stark County. I am very proud of this accomplishment and intend to be a strong advocate and supporter of the LSC program. What better way to serve the community but to develop the leaders that will make the future of Stark County even brighter than it is today.
