Leadership Stark County has been developing leaders for Stark County for 30 years! During that time more than 1,000 people have been trained and are serving as non-profit board members, or have been elected to office, mentored others, led capital campaigns, advocated for the underserved, spoken out against injustice or served their community in countless ways large and small.
To mark the occasion of Leadership’s 30th year, thirty graduates of our Leadership programs will be saluted for their contributions to Stark County. The Thirty Faces of Leadership Stark County represent the face of Leadership Stark County, people who are seen in the community as difference makers. They typify all of the Leadership Stark County graduates who are living the mission of commitment to our community. Nominations are being accepted for those who display these attributes:
- Represent the mission of Leadership Stark County as a “motivated leader with a lifelong commitment to community trusteeship.”
- Have completed one of the core programs; Signature, Spotlight for Young Professionals, or Government Leadership Academy.
- Have contributed in areas of community impact, volunteerism, leadership roles, or lasting achievement.
- Represent the diversity of Stark County in profession, generation, geographic representation, volunteer arena, culture, or variety of achievement.
The thirty individuals who are chosen will be honored in local media throughout the 2016-2017 program year and recognized as part of the 30th year Celebration to take place in May 2017. Nominations or self-nominations will be accepted on-line at LeadershipStarkCounty.org through July 30, 2016. A listing of those who qualify for nominations is located at LeadershipStarkCounty.org/Nominate.
