The Signature Program is a 10-month course of leadership development and community awareness.
It begins with an intense two and one half day Orientation Retreat in September.
- Following an in-depth personal leadership assessment, dynamic workshops focus on team building, leadership styles, values and personal mission.
Subsequent sessions include eleven program days, generally scheduled on the second Thursday of each month, focusing on topics pertinent to Stark County assets and challenges.
- A comprehensive bus tour explores the history and diversity of Stark County cities, villages, farms, businesses, and communities.
- Class members explore economic development with on-site tours and small-group interaction with CEO's.
- A poverty simulation, role-play initiates discussion of human services.
- A small-group lunch with local judges, shadowing a school principal on the job, riding in a police cruiser for a shift, a multi-cultural buffet, and political candidates' panel discussion are just some of the highlights of the sessions.
