GOVERNMENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Designed for aspiring candidates, elected and appointed officials, and those interested in public service, the Government Leadership Academy is recommended by both local democratic and republican parties.
The class meets bi-weekly for six weeks and topics include:
- Leadership skills, styles, and effective decision making
- Communication and working with citizens
- Developing strategies for inclusion
- Enhancing knowledge of regional opportunities
- Tips for working with the media.
- Economic development opportunities and techniques
The next Government Leadership Academy will begin in February 2011. Dates will be announced and applications will be online in November 2010
- The class generally meets Tuesday and Thursday's from 4-6 p.m.
