2008 Government Leadership Academy Participants
STARK COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The Stark County Local Government Leadership Academy is:
- Targeted to individuals serving in or running for public office who wish to enhance their decision-making and leadership skills.
- A six-week program held at various locations of the Stark County District Library.
- A collaboration among Leadership Stark County, Stark County District Library and The Ohio State University Extension.

The program, encourages dialogue between the many government entities that comprise Stark County. Topics include:
- Week 1-Leadership Skills, Styles & Effective Decision Making
- Week 2-Approved certification provided on House Bill 9 and Ohio Ethics Training.
- Week 3-Communication and working with citizens
- Week 4-Understanding the media and how to make it work for you.
- Week 5-Economic Development opportunities and techniques.
- Week 6-Regionalization
