Stephanie Werren has been with Leadership Stark County since 2005, first as development director and then as assistant director. She managed fund raising and new programs and assisted with the Signature Program days. She began as director in 2015 and will retain a role in fund raising as well as managing the whole organization.
As assistant director Stephanie was instrumental in the creation of the Government Leadership Academy and the Spotlight for Young Professionals course. She is a Gallup trained facilitator for the StrengthsFinder management model and presents for the Government and Young Professionals courses as well as any custom training modules. Stephanie brings a broad background in sales and community volunteerism to her position. Stephanie is a 2008 recipient of the ystark Twenty under 40 award for volunteerism and was named the Malone University Graduate School Alumna of the Year in 2009. Her current community involvement includes North Canton City Council, Plain Local Schools Foundation, Monticello Homeowners Association Board, and Camp Wakonda Annual Auction Chairman.
A Canton native, Werren holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Malone College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science/international studies from Miami University. Stephanie resides in Canton with her husband, Judge Curt Werren, a graduate of the 13th class, and their triplets Jack, Hannah, and Grace.
Jenifer Hill, Program Manager

As the Leadership Stark County Program Manager Jenifer Hill brings a variety of skills and expertise to the Leadership Stark County Staff, including executive coaching, leadership development consultation, program enhancement and facilitation. Jenifer began her career in the Canton area by providing mental health consultation and counseling and later expanded her focus on the advancement of leaders, locally, nationally and internationally. With her knowledge and experiences, she brings a global mindset with a passion and energy for local development.
Jenifer is a 2014 recipient of the ystark! Twenty under 40 award for volunteerism, is an alumna of the 2015 Leadership Stark County Government Academy program and participant in the 2015 Signature Program Class. Her current community involvement includes the ystark! events committee, Vice President of Training and Development Council of The Junior League of Stark County, United Way Young Leaders Society, in addition to being an active volunteer for a variety of events and organizations in the Stark County community.
As a Canton native and Stark County advocate, Jenifer holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Human Development from Walsh University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The Ohio State University. Jenifer resides in Canton with her husband, Darin and their two dogs.
Joy Walko, Office Manager

Joy Walko has lived in Ohio all her life and in Stark County for the last 35 years. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Food Technology and has worked in Industrial Engineering in the food industry.
While raising her children, she was actively involved in the community, serving on the Hartville PTO Board, was President of the Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association of Canton, and was Christian Education Chair of Greentown United Methodist Church. Joy enjoyed substitute teaching for North Canton City and Lake Local Schools.
Joy has been with Leadership Stark County since 2002 and her duties include: managing editor of the LeadershipLink newsletter, web site maintenance, PR & communications, social media, email marketing, and grant writing.
Joy and her husband live in North Canton and have three grown daughters.
Leslie Hennessy serves Leadership Stark County as a part-time Program Assistant. A graduate of Malone University, Leslie brings energy and professionalism to her role. Leslie is married to 23rd Class Signature Program graduate Dustin Hennessy and the mother of three girls.
